40-Parenting-16 Encourage your Child to Save Papers

Now let us discuss Paper saving.

We are all aware of the Environment. It is necessary to maintain Oxygen Cycle. All Human beings (including Animals) require Oxygen. Trees and Plants breathe out Oxygen in the Daytime and the same Oxygen will be utilized by us. So we need to maintain the Oxygen Level. So cutting down Trees needs to be reduced, which will definitely maintain the Oxygen Level.

We know that for the production of paper, we need trees. This shows that for the production of Papers, we are reducing the oxygen level.

Now, it is time to reduce the maximum use of paper. I know that we can't stop using paper completely, but definitely, we can reduce using paper. For some work, definitely,  only paper copies are necessary. But, for some work, saving papers will be more beneficial. All such things should be told to our children so that they will be habitual for this task. Now we will see how paper saving is beneficial for us. Let us take the simple example of Telecom Services. Everyone uses the telephone, Mobile & so many communication services.  Every month we receive a bill for these services. The same bills can be asked to send through email in soft format. All of us are aware of Soft copies which are generally in PDF format and can be viewed on PC/laptop/tablet/mobile. By means of this soft copy, you can maintain the record of all such bills for years together.
In the same way, you can pay this bill online using Internet Banking or through a Credit Card of By Debit Card.  Which will save the paper used for Cheques (checks) and also the paper money say currency? By doing this we are also protecting our valuable time also. Definitely, such a process needs to be taught to our children so that they will definitely maintain the same procedure in their future life. Now if we are saying to do the same thing to our generation of people then there may be chances of getting the reply like this, "Who are you to teach us?" Or someone may say  " We can't use the internet".

But, our new generation will definitely use all such modern or better amenities only thing is that we need to mold them in such habits.

The above is one example given. , we can use this technique for Electricity Bills, Gas connection bills, or TV cable bills.

In the same way, maximum payments can be done through Credit Cards or Debit Cards. Even if purchase any item from Mall or any shops. If we avoid using cash transactions, we save paper currency.

Making a habit of such techniques will definitely improve our standard of living. So try to encourage you, child, to save paper means save our environment.

I want that the entire world needs to improve its thinking skills so that everyone can invent so many beautiful things about human life.

This is possible only with the help of you along with your child.

Please come forward and start this beautiful work for yourself and show the world that we can also build the world with a powerful thinking level as everyone is Proficient.

39-Parenting-15 Prepare Your Child for Math Learning

Now we can plan for the new academic year for your child. After their examination, during this vacation, whenever your son/daughter gets time ask him/her to list out the important formulae (formulas) from their previous grade math class. Try to find some technique to remember them. I don't want to have the habit of mugging up technique. Which is not good at all to understand the basic concept of the subject.

Do see, how we can plan our Math study for next academic year. As per as the subject Math is concerned, (You can definitely try this for other subjects also), we will make some folders for math and label them as follows

1) School work: Ask your child to write everything that his/her Math teacher says. If any concept is not understood then, it should be cleared at the same time. Then systematically plan for the same day to revise what had been done in Math Class for that day.
2) Question Set Prepared by MeAsk your son/daughter to prepare 2 to 5 questions based on the topic and write them on a separate note sheet. These sheets should be numbered topic-wise. (Let us see one example of numbering the sheet. Let us see the example of giving the number for the question sheet prepared by the child on the topic Similarity, the number will be " My-Question/Similarity/7th-Grade/20032013 (today's date)/001 " and so on). This habit will improve his/her ability to maintain or manage proper planning for everything in the future.
3) Happy work: We all know that for Math, we need to practice more to understand the concept. In the school, the Math teacher may allow some work for your child to do at home. Generally, it is called "Home Work " I had given the name " Home Work " as "Happy Work "  So we are labeling this folder as " Happy Work ". We must tell our child to perform their Happy Work within the Time frame for it & all such sheets/notebooks should be kept in the folder labeled " Happy Work ". Every time we need to watch the completion of the work allotted to them by their teacher.
4) My achievements: We know that Every Child is Brilliant, so definitely he/she may have some creative ideas. Those ideas must be written on the sheet and must be maintained properly in some folder labeled " My Achievements "
5) My Doubts: Prepare shortlisted doubts on some sheet and remember that these doubts must be cleared out the very next day by their teachers.
6) Math Dictionary: Help your child to list out the important words of Math with their meanings/Definitions and note down these words in a separate notebook.
7) Math Formulae: Help your child to list out the important topic-wise formulae of Math and note down these formulae in a separate notebook.

In a very short period, we are starting the Basic Concepts of Math by taking some topics.

I would like to clarify this point with you, I am not a great person. These are my views. You may know better than me. If you suggest me something more, I will definitely improve myself and improve my Blogs.

38-Parenting-14 Become curious Parents

My elder son "Aaswad Anil Satpute " now studying Computer Engineering in Mumbai. I would like to share one of the stories of his childhood with you.

When he was in Sr. KG, He asked his one interesting question to his Mom.  The question was " What is the number between 2 and 3? "

His Mom was surprised!. She was well aware that in Sr. K KG studies, only the integers have been introduced No concept of decimals or fractions are taught.

Out the curiosity, She asked him, " Aaswad, why did you think about the number between 2 and 3. ?"

On this question, he had given some explanation. He simply told something like this:

" Mom, see, we know that the double of 2 is 4 and the double of 3 is 6. there should be some number between 2 & 3 whose double is 5 as 5 is between 4 and 6."

After listening to his explanation my wife was surprised. She suddenly explained to him so many new concepts about numbers which were useful for his thinking about numbers.

He was very much curious about any type of machine, about the numbers and also about the computer. (Now also he is curious to learn so many new concepts)

In the 4th Grade, he found out so many new concepts about Mathematical Tables.

This story, I shared with you only to think about " How your child may think about all his/her surroundings". Better you give him/her a chance and allow him/her to think and express their views.

I surely say that everyone is equally brilliant. The only thing is that we need to give them some chance to grow & freely fly in the sky think more freely.

Note: I am a very simple and ordinary person. So again and again I say that we all together will build the entire world with high-level thinking. I will be very happy to listen from Students or Parents to improve my BLOG as well as My eBook "Miraculous World of Numbers"

So come forward to help me in such a way that we all together will improve our beautiful world with powerful thinking levels.

26-Parenting-13 Habit of Cleanliness will save our Environment

Morning to Evening, whenever we are outside our homes, when we watch here and there we observe that so many peoples throw garbage on the road. We know that the servicemen/servicewomen are allotted to clean the road. But we must think that why shouldn't we put our garbage in the proper places? There are so many dustbins placed on the roadside. If everyone will think this way, definitely the roads will be maintained properly and cleaner too. Secondly, the workers may clean the road systematically with less effort. I know that many places are clean. It is also true that so many peoples have this habit of putting the garbage in proper dustbins. I am not at all talking about these people. Here we need to explain to them the importance of cleanliness so that they will also follow the path of cleanliness.

Right from a small age of our child, we need to teach them about cleanliness. Before and after lunch / Dinner / Breakfast, we need to clean our hands. Garbage and waste papers need to be put in the dustbins placed in every room. Keeping all our things in the proper places will reduce the work burden on others and it will improve the skills of your habit. Such important messages need to be given to the child to build the habits of good manners.

I am not at all any big personality to teach you. I am a very ordinary person. These are my views which I would like to share with you and request you kindly help me to improve these skills in every one of us so that we all together can build the entire world with good attitudes.

In a child, right from a small age, if we try to mold them in any shape definitely and quickly, they will get that shape and we need to get the benefit of the same to mold them with all the good things required for their better lifestyle.

It looks very dirty if we see a group of highly qualified people going in a very rich car and throwing a used water bottle out on the road. Some people spit on the road or the staircases of the building. The persons throwing the rappers of chocolates outside the bus/train while traveling. These pictures will be observed in so many places.

This is one part of our lifestyle that we need to build in the small mind of our child so that he/she will never do such type of blunders in the future.

I am not at all pointing it out to any particular person or group. Once again I would like to clarify this point that we all together will build a beautiful world. I may need your valuable suggestions and help to motivate my own mind.

24-Parenting-12 Some Children never show their Smartness

Some children may express his/her view instantaneously.  If someone has any questions, then he/she will answer that questions instantly. In any situation, he/she will solve the problem by making use of his/her quickness.

Simultaneously, some situations are like this, and only the silent child may overcome that problem. He/she may give a better solution than the other one. He/she may never expose himself/herself at all even if he/she had done an excellent job.

Here we may notice that one may speak instantly and the other one will not take part in any discussion. Here we should never think that the child, who is not participating in the discussion is not that much smart. We should think this way that the topic of discussion may not be of his/her interest.

Definitely, there will be a time when he/she will actively participate in the discussion of his/her interest. Here, as a parent, we must encourage both children in the field of their interest.

But simultaneously, we need to tell him/her the truth of life that we may or may not get everything of our interest. We need to accept so many things which we may not like. Accepting disliked things is a challenge for us. We may learn so many delicacies (need for tact) from these situations.

We need to encourage our child but should not admire or praise or applaud in front of him/her (sometimes it is also needed to admire them in front of them, but not always).

As a parent, we need to act according to the situation and handle all the tasks in such a way that the result of each task is always positive.

Tell both the children that they will always be away from ego. The ego is our nearest enemy.

Handling all critical situations is a sign of good parents. Everyone always wants that their child should have all the good habits. If we started to build these good manners, the right ways of life and so on the right from a small age, definitely in future we will observe everything nice in our child.

20-Parenting-11 Every Child Needs Proper Direction

Every Day, from morning till night, everyone is doing their work. Like this, a small kid also starts his/her work in the morning. Suppose in the evening, all of our family members are gossiping and our kid of age say 1 or 1 & a half years old is also playing on his/her own. While running from one place to another, if the kid falls down and starts crying, then both Parents rush toward the kid & try to divert his/her mind to some other direction. Some of the parents may start Convincing the kid by telling them that it wasn't his/her fault but the ground's flaw that he/she fell down.

No doubt here we are diverting the mind of the child from crying, but simultaneously, we are directing him/her to rely on blaming others rather than correcting them.

Now we will see some other examples.

So I will change my words, Now I will say, In school, the Teacher allots some Happy work to the students. Some Students do this work honestly, with proper study, understanding of the concept; then writing the answers. Some students may do this work simply by copying from other students & some of the students may not do their work at all.

While checking this work, if the teacher asks about these cases, then one by one student will say I couldn't do this work because someone had taken my notebook or simply say I had some work so I couldn't do this work.

Here shifting the reasons from one part to another, the student may make more & more mistakes.

The habit of speaking lies will be a serious problem for the child so right from a small age, the child needs proper directions.

18-Parenting-10 Encourage your child to be more curious.

We all know that this new generation is very smart and thinks more and more about any subject. Every child is more curious about everything happening around him/her. We need to increase their confidence along with their curiosity simply by telling them new concepts to our children.

The child may be curious about their school subject topics or may be interested to know the relationship between their relatives. They may be interested even in a very small thing like how can we see the object around us. These causes may be very small from our angle, but the child might be thinking in different ways according to their age. They may have an ample number of queries right from day 1. Some of them might get solved. But some may be still there with them. I think now those queries might get wider than the previous ones.

It is my habit that whenever I find some children, then I start asking them for some tricks of mathematical fun.

Once when I went to China, a group of students, I told them the proof of 3 + 3 = 7. Suddenly they were surprised & asked me for more explanation about the same. After the explanation, nearly everybody was more curious about the proof and tried to find out the mistake in the proof. After a few moments.

I was very happy to listen to them about the basic concept of the topic.

I would like to clear this point to you “I am a very ordinary person. These are my views. You may know better than me. If you suggest me something more, I will definitely improve myself and improve my Blogs.

17-Parenting-9 Teach Banking Stuff to your child

Now it is time to learn everything about our lifestyle and all the necessary things required for us. One of the most important tasks is to learn the Banking Business.  Right from a small age of our child, he/she should know about Banking Stuff.

Nowadays, it is the time of Internet Banking, Phone Banking, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Cash Cards.

Now we need to teach all the aspects of Internet Banking starting with the creation of a user ID/Password. Every Bank has got its own way to use the Banking Account by the user. Some Bank provides us Username & Password & then sends the Dynamic Code to our registered Mobile & email for double security purpose. Some Bank Provide their own tools (Software for Token with desk-top-page) with User Name/Password & Token-Pin with separate Transaction IDs & Password. Like this, there are so many other concepts of net Banking. These concepts need to be taught to our Children.

Secondly, we need to teach them the functioning of the Bank. The concept of a Cheque (some countries call it a check), Banker’s Cheque, Demand Draft, and so on. The detailed functioning of Credit cards, Debit cards (ATM cards), and cash cards need to be taught to our child.

Our child should know how to withdraw the amount from ATM (we need to be there in the ATM center Along with the child). Through this, he/she will know the functioning of the ATM.

Simultaneously, we can build the habit of saving the amount in the Bank, right from a small age.

This will increase their curiosity about banking Sectors and definitely it will help the child to build good habits.

I think Awareness of complete knowledge will help to stop fraud in Internet Banking.

16-Parenting-8 Take your Child to Market

Nowadays, the Market strategy is changed. We need not go to the grocery shop or fruit market to purchase the materials. Everywhere, the malls are opened with all such facilities so more & more peoples are attracted towards Mall.

Secondly, a single phone call is sufficient to get household materials to your doorsteps.

New generation IP-based technology will have so many valuable applications & checks the requirement of the material at your home & the same things can be delivered to your doorsteps well before it finishes. You can program your refrigerator to check the level of the milk in the milk pot and after it reaches to a certain level, the order will be placed to the milkman for delivering the milk. There will not be more time for this technology to be available.

Even then you need to take your child to the market to understand the market strategy. These tactics will definitely help him/her to improve the basic skills in a child right from a small age. Your son/daughter will definitely enjoy going to the Malls. There you can explain to him/her the entire working of the Mall. You can also ask him/her to help you to take the items, tell him/her to pay the bills, and so on.

The child needs to understand the approximate quantity of the material so that their approximation skills will get improved. For example how many pieces of mangoes will be there in 1 kg? Then certainly, the child should think about the size of a mango. It indicates that the child can build the relation between size, the number of pieces & weight of 1 kg.

This way you can improve the skills of your child.

I would like to clear this point with you “I am a very ordinary person. These are my views. You may know better than me. If you suggest something more, I will improve myself and my blogs.

15-Parenting-7 We are only Ideal Guides (Gurus) for ourselves

We Are Our Ideal Teachers (Guides)

Genuine guidance is sourced from within. If we commit to being truthful with ourselves, we are our finest educators, mentors, and guides. This inner truthfulness can be challenging, but it is life-changing. It can transform our lives in the most significant ways.

We must first recognize our strengths and weaknesses—thoughts, behaviors, actions, and intentions—to embark on this journey. Acceptance is the initial step towards self-mastery.

Once we genuinely choose to evolve, the following becomes achievable:
✅ We cultivate clarity in our minds.
✅ We gain command over our urges and behaviors.
✅ We opt for purpose instead of distraction.
✅ We learn to trust and heed our inner voice.
✅ Most importantly, we start to value and have faith in ourselves.

This path fortifies us, enhances our wisdom, and empowers us, not about others, but about realizing our true potential.

Start with the positive aspects within you.

The initial stage in personal development recognizes and values existing positive traits. Each individual possesses a distinct blend of qualities—thoughts, habits, and behaviors—that create the core of our identity. Here’s how you can begin:

🌟 Inventory of Positive Attributes Within Us

Optimistic thoughts such as hope, gratitude, and kindness

Beneficial habits like reading, active listening, punctuality, or being organized

Thoughtful actions such as assisting others, being courteous, and exhibiting empathy

Self-regulation in everyday activities or personal ambitions

A sense of curiosity and an eagerness to learn

Patience and understanding in challenging situations

Respect for elders, educators, and the environment

Appreciation for life and the chances it provides

Steadfastness in efforts, even in the face of obstacles

Integrity with oneself and with others

🌱 Cultivate What is Positive

After recognizing these strengths, cultivate them. Like nurturing a flourishing plant, the more you develop your positive traits, the less space there is for negativity, distractions, or detrimental behaviors.

Concentrate on daily progress.

Enhance your beneficial habits.

Refine your positive mindset.

Make choices that reflect your best self.

⚠️ Beware of EGO.

One crucial guideline while engaging in this internal exploration:

Put your ego aside.

The ego is not a supportive element on this journey. It skews your perception of yourself and hinders growth. Instead, embrace humility because genuine strength comes from being receptive to change, acknowledging errors, and remaining modest.

💡 Concluding Thought:

"When you create space for the good, the negative gradually exits."

Focus on what lifts your spirits; very soon, you’ll become a beacon of light for yourself and those around you.

The above list of good things needs to contain everything about us. Every small or large thing needs to be included in this list to encourage our minds to improve.

🌑 Time to Confront the Inner Shadows

After acknowledging and nurturing the positive aspects within us, it’s time to turn our attention to the opposite side—the negative qualities that subtly hinder our progress. This step may be the most challenging, but it dramatically alters our lives.

⚖️ Honestly Identify the Negative Traits

This exercise demands a high level of honesty with ourselves. No one else needs to view this list—but we must create it authentically. We understand ourselves better than anyone else does. Some examples of such traits include

- Anger or a quick temper
- The tendency to lie or conceal the truth
- Procrastination or wasting time
- Feeling jealous or comparing ourselves to others
- Overthinking or questioning ourselves
- A lack of discipline or focus
- Negative self-talk
- Disrespectful conduct
- An addiction to mobile devices, television, or gossip
- A tendency to blame others

🧹 Clear Your Mind—Gently Yet Firmly

Once you’ve recognized these traits, do not feel disheartened. Instead, begin to minimize them—step by step. Even the smallest progress each day leads to significant transformations over time.

“There is no need for perfection—just improvement over yesterday.”

Swap each harmful habit with a positive behavior. For instance:
- Replace anger with deep breathing and patience.
- Replace dishonesty with gentle truthfulness.
- Replace idle time with focused objectives.

🌈 Observe the Transformation

As you embark on this genuine transformation, expect to notice a change:
Your mind will feel lighter.

Your environment will seem more tranquil.

People around you will engage more positively.
Most importantly, you will experience true happiness within.

“A tranquil mind, a clear heart, and a concentrated purpose—that is the most joyous state a person can attain.”

🧭 Let's Embark on This Journey—Together.

We can only undertake acts of self-reflection and recognize our strengths and weaknesses since we have the best understanding of ourselves.

Let’s commit to:
👉 Initiating this self-improvement journey collectively.
Although it may present challenges, the benefits are truly transformative.

🤝 A Humble Reflection from an Everyday Individual
I want to be honest with you—I consider myself average.
These are merely my reflections, shaped by my own experiences.
You might have more profound insights or superior suggestions. If you do, I would appreciate hearing them.

✅ Your input enables my growth—as an individual and writer.
✅ I’m always eager to learn and enhance—not only my blog but also myself.
💐 A Heartfelt Thank You

I particularly wish to thank my wife, Ms. Jyoti, for inspiring today’s post with her insightful idea. Her support is crucial to these creative endeavors.
